I don't know even where to begin with Melissa & Jordan...I left their Frog Pond wedding wishing they (and all their friends) could be my new best friends! I have never been to a more entertaining/thoughtful/touching/funny/unique wedding! They made the ceremony and reception so remarkable by incorporating their incredibly talented friends and family in every aspect of the celebration. Some of the many highlights included a little stand-up comedy, a shakespeare reading, a cellist, a violinist, folk singers, wonderful toasts, and an opera singer! These two are simply wonderful!!! P.S. the Frog Pond is an amazing place to host a wedding, I hope to get many more Frog Pond weddings!!

Lizzie and Andrew are brilliant doctors fresh out of medical school and headed to L.A. to start their careers but before they make that transition they tied the knot in a lovely ceremony and reception at the Lodge at Welch Allyn. Their day was punctuated with periods of severe thunderstorms. Those storms added a lot of atmosphere...especially during the ceremony when Andrew slipped the ring on Lizzie's finger and in dramatic fashion intense thunder rumbled through the building and caused all in attendance to laugh, proving that mother nature must have a sense of humor and she certainly has good timing! Don't ever let anyone tell you that rain can ruin a wedding day, it simply adds to your story.

It is always a joy to work with couples like Melissa & Jordan...they are at such ease with each other and that translates into great moments and wonderful images! I shot these back on a chilly April morning and I have already photographed their very unique Frog Pond Wedding...those pics are coming soon and I can't wait to share them!!

Rebecca and Luke met online and they wed a few years later in an intimate mid-November ceremony and reception at the Rowland House, it was the most perfect sweet little wedding to close out the busy year. I was nervous about the likelihood that we would be inside most of the day (I do love my natural light) but I had nothing to worry about because the backdrop of the Rowland House combined with Rebecca's and Luke's glow was all I needed to capture lovely moments!

Elizabeth & Andrew are just wrapping up their final year of medical school at Penn. They met early on in their studies but they didn't get serious until Andrew tried out some serious dances moves on Liz at a party. Liz recreated the moment during the engagement shoot...see if you can spot the epic moment! This very sweet couple are under a lot of stress at the moment (they have been interviewing for residency programs) but you would have never known it since the smiles and laughter were so easy to come by. I am looking forward to capturing more dance moves at your Lodge at Welch Allyn wedding in May!

Erin & Michael were just delightful to photograph for their engagement session at Beak & Skiff's Apple Hill. These two make each other glow...you would never have known it was drizzling during the session! I am always so excited when my couples have as much chemistry as Erin and Michael, it's impossible not to capture wonderfully intimate and playful moments when there is so much affection between a couple. The sparks were flying on a chilly October afternoon so I can't wait to see what these two bring for their July nuptials at the Emerson Park Pavilion.

"I fell in love with a boy on the bow of a ship, under the stars 14 years ago and today I'm still in love with the most amazing man," this was the start of Sondra's vows and it set the tone for a romantic and intimate wedding day that Sondra and Jeremy shared with their closest friends and family at the Aurora Inn on a glorious fall evening in early October. They live in Florida but decided to wed at the Aurora Inn because it's fabulous and because it's the half-way point between his family in Toronto and her family in Massachusetts, they couldn't have made a better decision because their lakeside wedding day was just spectacular! I wish these two many many years of wedded bliss together! A huge thanks to my wing-gal, Lauren Youngs, as always she captured many lovely moments throughout the day!
Lizzie & Craig - Mirbeau Inn and Spa & Skaneateles Country Club Wedding
Lizzie and Craig started their wedding day off at the gorgeous Mirbeau Inn and Spa where they were pampered by their own personal beauty team brought in from New York City, these two spared no expense on their gold dusted wedding day in Skaneateles (just take a look at Craig's velvet shoes). We were surrounded by golden foliage, light, and upon arriving to the reception at the Skaneateles Country Club the banquet rooms were transformed with gilded touches everywhere. They provided plenty of entertainment and personalized touches for their guests. I loved the temporary tattoos that their guests completely embraced...I spotted them in all sorts of fun places on folks of all ages! Congrats Fava and Nunzio!

Amelia and Patrick's Syracuse University infused wedding day in Skaneateles was a perfect day in late September. These two connected as undergrads and they celebrated their SU roots in many ways on their wedding day (I bet you can spot an SU reference in nearly every picture)! You can tell Patrick and Amelia are in it for the long run, they have an easiness with each other that has been perfected over the years. I wish you lots of love and luck in your marriage...thanks for making me and Lauren a part of your lovely day.

Rebecca and Luke are getting married in a month at the newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous Rowland House. They are planning an intimate evening of 20 or so of their loved ones to witness their vows and then celebrate with an amazing meal in the Rowland house's stunning dining room, I love how they are so uncomplicated and easygoing! I had a chance to meet these two lovebirds at the Inns of Aurora and we had a great time hitting all our favorite spots on the grounds.
Read moreLauren & Cary - Anyela's Vineyard Wedding
I have never seen such a happy bride on her wedding day, every time Lauren looked at Cary she just beamed the most radiant smile! It probably had something to do with the fact that Cary and Lauren were apart for the month before their wedding, he made it back from their home in Uganda just days before their ceremony. It was a privilege to photograph their wedding day at Anyela's Vineyard and spend the day getting to know their lovely friends and family. There were so many kind words and tender moments shared making for a very memorable night, I wish you both a lifetime of joy where ever your adventures take you!
Read moreJessica & David - Sherwood Inn Wedding
Jessica and David's wedding day started out bleak with heavy downpours all morning but as Jessica stepped into the church to exchange her vows with David the sun came out and shined brightly for the remainder of the day, providing another glittering day for wedding photography in Skaneateles! David and Jessica had a lovely reception at the Sherwood Inn but before we got there I flagged down their limo en route to the reception when I spotted a roadside patch of vibrant wildflowers...I was worried they would be annoyed but Jessica and David were so excited because they had been eyeing the flowers as well! It is so rewarding when couples allow you the time and flexibility to be spontaneous on their wedding day, I believe the greatest moments are unexpected and unscripted...the small "in-between" moments prove over and over again to be the stand-out images of wedding. When you allow your photographer time to observe and flex their artistic muscles you get a much richer set of images than if you have busied them with extensive "must have" shot lists. I owe a huge thanks to Jessica and David for being up for anything and just delightful to work with, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the post to see their lantern launch (I hope to see more of these at weddings in the future)!

I recommend all couples take a few days off from each other before the engagement shoot, the results were fabulous...see you both in a few hours!!

I wish Kara and Daniel loads of luck as they continue their lives in my old stomping grounds, Wahington, D.C.
